A friend once gave me a HTC Desire 310 with Android 4.2.2. I mostly use it as a metronome, portable calendar and gaming device (as I’m very much attached to my old Samsung flip phone), so I decided to root it so I could create more space. I did so using KingoRoot, and everything was well.
Then I became a little too enthusiastic in deleting system apps and accidentally deleted Calendar Storage, causing my beloved Google Calendar to not work anymore. I thought I had the entire phone backed up, but apparently something has gone wrong there and Calendar Storage was lost.
I’ve tried googling for calendarprovider.apk and com.android.providers.calendar, I’ve tried everything this article told me to do (as far as I could since a couple of the links were broken), I’ve tried resetting, unrooting and rerooting the phone multiple times, I’ve even tried using the files that were used in Bluestacks, but nothing works. I cannot find a recycle bin on the phone and I don’t know anyone else who has this type of phone.
By now I’ve become quite desperate. Is there anyone out there who can help me?
