I’m thinking of doing more video editing in the future and I’d like to get the most out of my Android phone (running 9.0 Pie). I’ve used ffmpeg and Handbrake in the past to reencode video but I want to avoid the losses involved with the original encoding of the video that happens on the phone so I can encode it my way once it’s edited
Whilst I can just manually increase the video bitrate on a third party camera app, from my time editing photos I’ve found that using RAW photo capture leaves me with a lot more flexibility for editing and detail.
Is there an equivalent to RAW (.dng) for video in the Android space? What app can i use to capture it?
