Shortkey commandos and others functions not working, Ubuntu 18.04.2

I’m using Ubuntu 18.04.2 LTS (Bionic beaver) 64-bit with the Linux kernel 4.15.0-55-generix x86-64 on a Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Carbon 4th gen.

When I tried to use my computer today the shortkey combination for terminal ctrl-alt-t and PrtSc all of a sudden stopped working. Also when I open applications or a window the window is unmovable/ un-resizeable and the – windos-rezie x (close) options in the top right corner are not available for the windows.

The functions worked just fine yesterday and I hadn’t installed any updates prior to launching the system today or done anything special which might have caused it (I only used chrome for 2-3 h).

However I’m duelbooting and noticed that the launching sequence might have been a little bit different for a brief moment but it reverted back to normal just in 1-2 seconds (don’t know if this is correct wasn’t really paying attention to it).

I tried to update the Software since there seemed to be some updates pending but it didn’t make any difference.

I’ve seen that some people have had the same kind of issue with older version of the Ubuntu distro, in those threads they were recommended to revert back to a older kernel, I tried this but it didn’t work. The oldest kernel version that was available for me was 4.15.0-53 which I tried together with 4.15.0-54.

Does anybody have similar problems?

Would be grateful for any kind of help.

Maybe it’s a bug?
