Sentinel Raven uses too much awesome magic

The Raven Queen Warlock in my group got a Sentinel Raven, as per the Lvl1 Class Feature. This raven is now attuned to a magic ring and wields a magic wand. The wand is not that big of a problem, but the ring allows the raven to cast Earthen Grasp and Wall of Stone, amongst others. (Both are homebrew items.) This has led so far to some pretty awesome moments, but also to problems. That’s because this Sentinel Raven cannot be targeted by harmful effects or spells and can’t take damage while perched on the warlock’s shoulder.

While perched on your shoulder, the raven can’t be targeted by any attack or other harmful effect; only you can cast spells on it; it can’t take damage; and it is incapacitated.

So it just flies off the shoulder, does some magic, then lands back on the shoulder in the same turn. This makes it (virtually) impossible for me as the GM to break concentration on spells like Earthen Grasp. That’s really annoying sometimes and it makes balancing encounters rather difficult.

Previous answers seem to agree that familiars can indeed attune to and use magic items (Can a familiar attune and wear or use a magic item?). Plus, the magic items in question can be used by a spirit that assumes the form of a raven, as they don’t have any constraints that would restrict their usage and the spells cast from them do not require any components.

Is this an intended feature of the Sentinel Raven? Am I overlooking something? How can I solve this problem in the game and/or at the table?

The warlock player really likes the raven and is a huge fan of the versatile magic it can do now with the magic items he gave it. I don’t want to punish anyone, just find out if this is legit and what to do if it is not.

Is there a Star Wars adventure for Awesome Adventures? [closed]

I teach English to a Japanese couple. I discovered they like Star Wars 4: A New Hope. I imagine there are a million RPG adventures for it but I want one for the Fate-based Awesome Adventures system (as I bought the book in Australia for myself and I don’t get reimbursed for expenses).

I want a adventure for two players with pre-generated characters — preferably a man and a woman — any necessary Star Wars setting info, a rather railroady plot so they can just play and get used to the system and the totally new experience of RPG roleplaying, while also learning English. I only have 1½ hours for the lesson but it can obviously be split over several lessons.

Font Awesome Icons only squares

I have a problem with the icons of font awesome. They are showing, though not all. Some icons just show a square and I don’t know how to fix it.

So this is how it looks like:

enter image description here

If I go to the console and remove the tick on “font” and “font-family” it will appear again correctly. I can’t understand why

So how can I delete these properties?

What are awesome things that D&D had historically that are (or were) missing in 5e? [closed]

For example, I had NO IDEA that in earlier editions of the game, there were rules for spending gold on strongholds and keeps and other cool structures. Makes all that gold characters accumulate much more useful. Matt Colville’s recent products seek to address the absence of this.

Morale as a mechanic (I believe this is well represented in the OSR, and an optional rule in the 5e DMG)

Minions in 4e. Hirelings (recently incorporated into 5e).

XP being tethered to Gold.

Please note that I’m not saying that all of these things NEED to be in D&D 5e. It’s just cool to consider mechanics that used to exist in the game that are forgotten by the wider community. There’s such a rich trove of stuff in the history of this game.
