Connect Sharepoint calenders to outlook, can we modify the sharepoint calender from outlook

I have a sub-site inside a sharepoint on-premises 2013 team site, and i have enabled the “Offline Synchronization for External Lists” site feature. now from the sharepoint calendar >> I click on “Connect to outlook” , as follow:-

enter image description here

and i got the calendar inside my out look, as follow:-

enter image description here

but the issue is that i am unable to modify the sharepoint calendar from my outlook, as when hover over a date inside outlook, i did not get the “+ ADD” link. also when i did the connect >> i got this dialog which mentioned that my permission will be Read on the calendar (so is this related to my issue that i can not modify the sharepoint calendar from my outlook):- enter image description here

I am building an application in that I want to disable past dates in the calender. How to do that

What should I do more to disable past dates in this piece of code? @Override public void onDateSet(DatePicker view, int year, int month, int dayOfMonth) { Calendar calendar = new GregorianCalendar(year, month, dayOfMonth); Log.d("Month", String.valueOf(month)); mStartdate = Long.toString(calendar.getTimeInMillis() / 1000); tripStartDate.setText(dayOfMonth + "/" + (month + 1) + "/" + year); } }

Duplicate Item getting created in the sharepoint calender list when syncing with outlook

I have a user who when connects to outlook from the sharepoint calendar list causes the duplication of items existing in the list. There are no workflow running in the background that would be creating it. Also the issue is coming for only1 user creating events under his name. As soon as he disconnects the issue stops making me believe that the issue is with the outlook. He reinstalled the outlook but the issue still persists though. I read some blogs and they were blaming the same onrecurring items but in my case random evens are getting duplicated and none of them are recurring.

Default to ‘More Options’ in Google Calender

In Google Calendar, when creating an event, I always utilize the options under ‘More Options’ (creating an all day event, modifying notifications, etc). I know it’s only an extra click away, but with how many events I create, it gets annoying. Is there a way to set it so that the new event pop up opens with ‘More Options’ already open?

How to subscribe to Internet .ics calender with Outlook on Mac

I have MS Office 356 for Mac, Outlook 16.22.1. The email part is working OK. I am now trying to subscribe to calendars, but am not able to figure it out.

Using the usual mechanism of inviting someone from Outlook on Windows which emails the Mac user the webcals link, then trying to open that in Outlook on the Mac, results in the message, “There is no application set to open the URL webcals://”.

On the Calendar “tab”, ‘ Open Shared Calendar’ is grayed out.

So, how do you do this on Mac (High Sierra 10.13.6)?
