Saving a php file with emojis

When I replace an HTML emoji with its code and try to save the page:

$ text = preg_replace("/ View attachment 243226 /", "😃", $ text);

I get a message saying something like "Some elements may not be saved properly since you have encoding windows-1251 elements, etc.".

If I go on and save the page, the code after the preg_replace gets cut off and the emoji View attachment 243226 looks like some crazy code.

Is there a way to save a php page with HTML emojis in it?

18.04.2 Emojis partially gone from Librewriter autocorrect

Completed a fresh install and update of 18.04.2 64-bit last week.

It’s perfectly fine. Except many emojis are gone from whatever Noto pack Librewriter uses. I’d like them back. Included below is a picture of the issue.

As you can see, it calls the location of the emoji just fine, but there doesn’t seem to be any data in that part of the font pack that Librewriter would care to display. Not a but a tall empty rectangle replaces most my emojis.

This is also the case in all my .odt docs. They have an empty rectangle where the emojis used to be before this fresh install, update, and restart.

gedit displays emojis from Right Click > Insert Emoji just fine.

I have no idea what information you need, but i hope this is a good start.

Emojis, stories and notification sound issues

Hi y’all.

My Messenger app got some issues.

1st issue: Before my Facebook story disappears, I don’t get a notification.

2nd issue: When a friend of mine reacts to a message I send to them, I get a notification with the standard Messenger sound instead of the “Pop Up” sound, and that’s bugging me a lot.

3rd issue: Emojis do not look the same on Messenger as they look on the Facebook app.

What to do? All these issues came when I reinstalled Messenger.

Converting Words/Numbers to Discord “Letter/Number Emojis”

So i am a beginner to python (and programming overall) and i decided that it would be funny if i wrote a program that could convert Letters/Numbers to these “Letter Emojis” in Discord. It works but i am quite unsure if this is the best way to do it. There are also some bugs caused by adding spaces before actually typing Letters/Numbers. I commented it as precisely as I could to make the Code as understandable as possible

from tkinter import * root = Tk() # defines the funtion click which gets called when the submitButton1 is pressed def click(): # makes sure the list is empty in case the user presses the button again to convert something new result.clear() # saves the text which is entered in the textentry box, this later gets converted to "Discord Letters" entered_text=textentry.get() # deletes the output box in case the user presses the button again to convert something new output.delete(1.0, END) # the function to convert a String to "Discord Letters" discord(entered_text) # loop which gets the length of the string typed in the textentry box and then outputs it to the output textbox for i in range(len(entered_text)): output.insert(END, result[i]) # A List in which the converted Letters are stored it's later used to output the converted Letters in a Textbox result = [] # the function to convert a String to "Discord Letters" def discord(word): # List of numbers from 0-9 , is used to check the string for numbers and then convert them # to "Discord Digits" since they have a different syntax in discord than Letters chars = set('0123456789') s = {'a', 'b', 'c', 'd', 'e', 'f', 'g', 'h', 'i', 'j', 'k', 'l', 'm', 'n', 'o', 'p', 'q', 'r', 's', 't', 'u', 'v', 'w', 'x', 'y', 'z'} # In case the User enters spaces they get removed since they just cause trouble word = word.replace(" ", "") word = word.lower() w = word for i in range(len(w)): # checks if the string has a number and outputs accordingly if any((c in chars) for c in w[i]): list_one = ["zero", "one", "two", "three", "four", "five", "six", "seven", "eight", "nine", ] result.append(':' + list_one[int(w[i])] + ":" + " ") # checks if the string has letter and outputs accordingly (might be unnecessary) elif any((c in s) for c in w[i]): result.append(':regional_indicator_' + w[i] + ":" + " ") else: # In case the user inputs something wrong print("False Input") root.title("Discord Letter Converter") # TextInput textentry = Entry(root, width=20, bg="white") textentry.pack() # submitButton submitButton1 = Button(root, text="Submit", width=6, command=click)# submitButton1.pack() # TextOutput output = Text(root, width=75, height=6, wrap=WORD, background="white") output.pack() root.mainloop() ```

Custom emoji’s in iOS?

Is there a way to add custom emoji’s to iOS?

Example: Custom Tongue Emoji 👅 (

  • Add a variant that has options for colors or a piercing.
  • Jolly Rancher Tongue – Blue, red, green, ext
  • Metal Stud in Tongue
  • Forked Tongue?

You tell me, possible methods to add:

  1. Custom Picture keyboard that you can add your own images to Add
  2. Emojis to Apple official emoji keyboard?

Add More Emojis to Recent Tab?

I tend to use a lot of emojis so the recent tab is a huge help. One day my recent tab had a whole big list of my recent emojis and disappeared a few days later.

This was very useful for me, and I have no clue how to get it back. By “tabs” I mean in the emoji section, theres presets you can click to bring you to specific categories of emojis (where the recent tab is located). I have also tried spamming emojis and nothing will bring the big list back.

I am currently using Google Keyboard with a Huawei phone.

If anyone can help or point me in the right direction as I can’t find anything about this. Thank you.

How can I get emojis to render properly on a Samsung Galaxy S8+?

My wife has a Samsung Galaxy S8+ with Oreo. Often when I send her a text containing an emoji, or she sends me one, the other person receives it as a box like this: ☒

I have a Nokia 6.1. But my suspicion is that her phone, not mine, is the problem, because I saw the same thing when I had a Windows phone.

What do I need to do to her phone to get it to send emojis properly?
