I wanted to show a full blog content, instead of an excerpt for the homepage.
I tried replacing the_excerpt to the_content, but it is not working.
This is the code:
<?php the_content(); ?>
<span class="read-more"><a href="<?php the_permalink(); ?>"><?php esc_html_e('Continue Reading »', 'revenue'); ?></a></span>
</div><!– .entry-summary –>
Or should I replace the entry-summary class and how do I do it?
Id like to have the last three words in an excerpt be the link to the permalink instead of having a read more button. How would I do that?
I am creating a search results page using Search API with a Solr backend provided by Pantheon.
I cannot get the excerpt to appear in the view-based results page. I have turned off all processors for the index. I have the excerpt and highlight features enabled for the server.
While tinkering, I found that the excerpt will appear if I enable the Stemmer processor. However, all of the words are incomplete – only showing the first few letters. For example, a search of “athletics” showed as “athlet”.
Any ideas as to why Solr isn’t serving up a usable excerpt?
I have a blog page where blog posts have an excerpt on with a continue reading link below.
When the link is clicked the full post should appear/or should be diverted to.
This isn’t that case. The user is diverted to the post, however, only the excerpt is displayed along with a continue reading link which doesn’t activate anything.
I have deactivated all plugins, I have also played around with the settings but can’t find any triggers.

I’d like to utilize excerpt field on pages. How do I enable it?
excerpt block only shows on posts in sidebar. But on pages it’s missing.
