I have a website xyz.com which is built with WordPress. I also have a domain abc.com which has no content at the moment. I would like to create a standard WordPress page on xyz.com , for example xyz.com/landing , that would serve as a homepage on abc.com , but it would not reveal that it is even connected to xyz.com (no branding or links). The end result would be:
- xyz.com/landing -> exists in xyz.com WordPress admin, but is excluded from xyz.com site map (not indexed for xyz.com)
- abc.com -> users see the content of xyz.com/landing , but the url is still abc.com .
I do not want to use multisite with separate WP panel and database, and also I do not want to use redirects from abc.com to xyz.com/landing (user should stay at abc.com). Also, the result should be responsive, so iframe might not be the best way.
Is it doable? If yes, what is a solution?
My community based project needs a little more than a forum, at least a homepage.
However I don't fancy using a CMS as troublesome as WordPress has become.
I'm looking for a free or affordable self hosted landing page builder. So far I've found none, I've only found numerous solutions hosted by the editor with or without a custom domain name.
Is there anything out there ?

I have a landing page for a webapp. I heard that showing screenshots of the software might hurt conversions.
I know that the answer is to test and find out for myself, but what do people think? Should a webapp landing page contain screenshots of the interface?

Do you guys have some guidelines on when you’ll use what I’ll call “product snippets” like this shopify example
vs when you use illustrations
My guess is the more complicated your product, the more likely you’ll just use an illustrations, as you won’t be able to get your value proposition across in a product snippet? Any other thoughts/ideas?

I’m an IT professional working for a larger enterprise in Switzerland. Furthermore, I’m a freelancer (mostly voluntary activities for schools and very small companies) in my home country Germany.
Both fields of activities need to be presented on my personal website. For the IT professional engagement, some sort of blogging is expected by my employer, which must be written in English.
The voluntary activities are very local activities (only a particular region of Germany), thus it should be written in German.
Assuming a re-design of my website, how could I combine both offerings and solve the language mix issue here?
I was thinking of a simple, localized landing page, with two “buttons” redirecting a visitor to the field of activities (sub-page/dedicated page or site) written in either English or German.
Of course, I want to share as much as I can, e.g. about me section and the overall theme, but still keep the effort low. No extra translation of content, no fancy language detection.
I’m looking for some real-life examples or other ideas.
