When my Google search lists landing page, the Title and link is for Home page

I’ve created 2 landing pages with target keywords web design eg web design strathfield. I entered the meta tags using Yoast plugin and I’ve checked the HTML and the title and description tags are correct. Landing pages are optimised.

But when I enter to google the search term web design strathfield it lists in the serp an entry with the Home page title and Description and the link is to the Home page.

The site: command lists the landing page. I’ve reindexed with the Console.

Can you help with why is Google listing the Home page in serp instead of the landing page?

How do I display/pull posts from subdomains to the landing page (domain) in WordPress Multi-site?

I have 8 sites in my multi-site network:

  1. Group Landing site (domain)
  2. Group 1 site (subdomain 1)
  3. Group 2 site (subdomain 2)
  4. Group 3 site (subdomain 3)
  5. Group 4 site (subdomain 4)
  6. Group 5 site (subdomain 5)
  7. Group 6 site (subdomain 6)
  8. Group 7 site (subdomain 7)

Essentially, Groups 1 to 7 will have separate contents. However, the Group Landing site will have content from both. I would rather not have the user enter the content twice. The post must also link/point to the Group/subdomain where it was originally published.

Is there a way for me to pull content from Group 1 and Group 2, and display it in Group Landing?

(Clarification: I want to pull content. That means, that I want to be able to run a query and get information from other posts and pages and display on the front end. I am not looking to duplicate content on the back-end, or to share content on the back-end. So, if the source is deleted than nothing will show on the front-end.)

What I did: I’m not sure if I did it correctly (I don’t even know how to code), but I appended the code snippet below in the functions.php of my theme:

foreach( $  blog_ids as $  blog_id ){     switch_to_blog( $  blog_id );     $  post = get_post( $  post_id );     restore_current_blog(); }

Reason for asking: I want to replicate this feature from the front/homepage of this website: https://www.inquirer.net. Also, the web hosting support team cannot provide snippets for this feature because they only have Python/Go developers rather than WordPress developers.

In my theme directory I have 3 files for taxonomy like

enter image description here

in each of them I have code like

<?php get_header(); ?>  <main id="main" class="site-main" role="main">     <?php      if ( have_posts() ) :          while ( have_posts() ) : the_post();              // Display post content             the_title();         endwhile;      endif;      ?> </main>  <?php get_footer();

in both http://wpdev/genre and http://wpdev/movie/genre I am landing in 404 page

Seeking advice – Building a Landing Page

I need your help to pass a job test! I have to design and implement a landing page. I have some experience with html and css, but i never implemented a landing page or a website, and I never used Java script.

They mainly want to evaluate my html skills and want to "understand my idea behind how certain elements behave and why these particular elements behave that way". It's important to make the landing page responsive. I am allowed to use "frameworks" and other sources.

So, here are my…

Seeking advice – Building a Landing Page

WordPress page as a landing page on another domain

I have a website xyz.com which is built with WordPress. I also have a domain abc.com which has no content at the moment. I would like to create a standard WordPress page on xyz.com , for example xyz.com/landing , that would serve as a homepage on abc.com , but it would not reveal that it is even connected to xyz.com (no branding or links). The end result would be:

  1. xyz.com/landing -> exists in xyz.com WordPress admin, but is excluded from xyz.com site map (not indexed for xyz.com)
  2. abc.com -> users see the content of xyz.com/landing , but the url is still abc.com .

I do not want to use multisite with separate WP panel and database, and also I do not want to use redirects from abc.com to xyz.com/landing (user should stay at abc.com). Also, the result should be responsive, so iframe might not be the best way.

Is it doable? If yes, what is a solution?

Need a self hosted landing page builder

Greetings.
My community based project needs a little more than a forum, at least a homepage.
However I don't fancy using a CMS as troublesome as WordPress has become.

I'm looking for a free or affordable self hosted landing page builder. So far I've found none, I've only found numerous solutions hosted by the editor with or without a custom domain name.

Is there anything out there ?

How To Insert Video On Landing Page

Landing Hero: Product snippets VS illustrations

Do you guys have some guidelines on when you’ll use what I’ll call “product snippets” like this shopify example

enter image description here

vs when you use illustrations

enter image description here

My guess is the more complicated your product, the more likely you’ll just use an illustrations, as you won’t be able to get your value proposition across in a product snippet? Any other thoughts/ideas?
