When I book with the Eurostar site to a destination in the south of France, they only offer a short Paris transfer time (54 minutes) between Gare du Nord Eurostar and Gare de Lyon TGV. Is this easily achievable with 2 adults and 2 walking toddlers (no buggy)? How would you travel it to not be in a rush, and are there any tips to avoid surprises and delays?
Basically what the title says. My flights will be arriving at LYS airport on a Thursday afternoon(around 2 o’clock and leaving on a Sunday evening (around 8 o’clock).
From the airport I want to get to the city center and specifically Foch metro station. For the trip back I want to start at Foch station and get to the airport.
What is the best way to do this? In order to make the question more specific my preferred means of transportation are as follows in order of preference.
- Metro or train (I haven’t found any lines that go to the airport though)
On the displays at LYS, a flight to LYN is mentioned. This is odd because the two airports are pretty close in distance, serving the same city (Lyon). Also, I was not able to find any info online about the flight.
Does anyone know if this flight is real and if so, what is the point of such a flight? Otherwise, if it’s a mistake, where can it come from?
Screen display at LYS: Text for line of interest reads as such: EasyJet logo – 17:00 – Lyon Bron – EC 002 – Check-in – Terminal 1 – Check-in counter 11.
I will be arriving at the Paris Gare de Lyon Train station around 9.30 AM tomorrow (Saturday) and want to explore some major attractions in Paris and then will have to catch an international flight at 9PM from CDG. For that I am planning to put the luggage in a locker at the Gare de Lyon station and then go to eiffel tower and then go to see some more places and then come back to Gare de Lyon to pick up the luggage and then go to CDG to catch the flight. My main concern is how to go back to CDG from Gare de Lyon station. The below links say that there is no RER B on Saturday and the bus line also severely disrupted.
What are the alternative ways to go back to CDG apart from taking a taxi ?
Is there a day pass which will work for all the lines ?
