How to properly replicate and archive at once

I have a 300GB database that is growing around 5GB a day. It stores time-based data, and as such, I currently have around 60 days of data. My main database server has a 450 GB NVMe, so I want to get a secondary server that has expandable cheap storage for old data.

The main server only really needs the last 15 days of data. So anything older than 15 days of data I want to move off to the secondary database which has slower but cheap storage. I think standard backup or archiving isn’t viable because I want to query the data at any given moment (maybe ~100 queries a day).

I want to kill two birds one stone here and I thought if I setup replication to the secondary server and then somehow indicate the cleanup stored procedure which delete records older than 15 days doesn’t propagate deletes to the slave.

Is this possible and recommended? If not, what is the best way to accomplish archived the data but to another server and allow querying. I suspect partitioning all of my tables but not all of my tables are time-based so I would need some way to move the time-based partitioned data over along with any FKs needed for it

PS: I won’t be relying on the secondary server as a backup but rather my main replication. I would then do offsite backups of the secondary server periodically

What pathfinder 2e features, if any, can be used to replicate / emulate the features of a 5e transmutation wizard?

I run a 5e campaign for a group of friends. I’ve recently suggested transitioning over to PF2e. One of the players is playing a transmutation wizard, and he’s fond of his Minor Alchemy ability:

Starting at 2nd level when you select this school, you can temporarily alter the physical properties of one nonmagical object, changing it from one substance into another. You perform a special alchemical procedure on one object composed entirely of wood, stone (but not a gemstone), iron, copper, or silver, transforming it into a different one of those materials. For each 10 minutes you spend performing the procedure, you can transform up to 1 cubic foot of material. After 1 hour, or until you lose your concentration (as if you were concentrating on a spell), the material reverts to its original substance.

Are there any options (focus spells, feats, etc.) that would grant this player a similar capability?

Can an artificer replicate the same magic item more than once?

Artificers can take the "Replace Magic Item" infusion more than once, each time choosing a magic item that they can make with it.

Can an Artificer take the "Replace Magic Item" infusion multiple times and select the same magic item with it, and thus create more than one copy of the same magic item?

For example, could a level 2 Artificer take "Replicate Magic Item: Bag of Holding" for 2 of its 4 known infusions, potentially creating 2 Bags of Holding at the same time?

Can Minor Illusion be used to replicate non-physical attacks?

Recently as a player my party fought against a creature that could paralyze you if you looked at it. Since my rogue has now seen it, would it be possible to replicate this using Minor Illusion by creating a image of the creature, and would it work the same way or be less effective? Could this also be used to replicate the attack the creature used that could kill if you failed the saving throw?

What advantages or disadvantages would best replicate a video game style inventory in an otherwise Modern setting?

What advantages or disadvantages would best replicate a video game style inventory in an otherwise Modern setting? I’m looking for guidance, as it seems to veer into the really expensive with cosmic advantages. Am I missing some lower key lower power possibilities?

The background is a modern setting with minor super powers which have a power level that do not exceed the level of influence on the world based on commonly available tech to a middle class family’s income base. Thus, things like guns & rifles (ranged attack powers), fireworks (explosive powers), hydraulic jacks (strength powers), man-portable tank of liquid nitrogen (freezing powers), and so forth are some examples of the limits on powers.

One of the proposed powers is an Inventory ability. Just that, nothing else. Store it, leave it, remove it. Thus, the analog tech would be a backpack or similar. Except that it is not visible or touchable by others.

MariaDB Replication – Replicate only specific tables and views

Note: A backend developer here with little to no experience in setting up database servers and replication.

What needs to be done

Setup DB replication of an existing database with the following constraints:

  1. Replicate only a specific list of tables/views with different names in the replicated database.
  2. Change the name of the tables/views in the replicated database (during the replication process)
  3. Setup a user on the replicated DB with further restrictions with which only a set of table/view can be viewed/updated/deleted

Progress so far

I have already read the document here, however, I did not find anything concrete to help me move forward with all the use-cases I wish to support!

Use Case

Show only essential data to the external vendor.

PS: If there are any other approaches other than replication, would be happy to consider and implement that as well.

How can I replicate an aura of power as seen in anime?

In anime (and manga) there are often characters who exude an aura of power. Is there anything in the D&D 5th edition ruleset that would duplicate this effect?

The aura doesn’t necessarily need to do anything mechanically. The only requirement is that it must be visible under normal conditions (e.g. you don’t need to have darkvision, be under moonlight, have a special class ability or feat to see it).

If the aura can increase a character’s power, so much the better.

What mundane item is used to replicate a Prosthetic Limb or an Arcane Propulsion Arm?

For the artificer’s “Replicate Magic Item” ability, I’m trying to figure out what mundane item you’d need to start with in order to end up with a Prosthetic Limb or an Arcane Propulsion Arm.

These items seem like very specific magic items. Would starting with scrap metal and gears work? Or would you need to start with a severed limb (flesh and blood)? I’m really struggling to understand the intended component parts of these two particular infusions.

How do I replicate my missiles and follow the player the same as the game called “Go Plane”

enter image description here

I am trying to make a clone of or “Go Plane” and I was wondering how can I follow that kind of missiles where the player can dodge it by moving away from it. Any help? Thanks in Advance! 😀

public float moveSpeed; Rigidbody2D myBody; protected Joystick joystick;  void Start() {     joystick = FindObjectOfType<Joystick>(); }  // Update is called once per frame void Update() {     myBody = GetComponent<Rigidbody2D>();      myBody.velocity = new Vector2(joystick.Horizontal * moveSpeed, joystick.Vertical * moveSpeed); }

public float acceleration = 1.0f; public float maxSpeed = 5.0f;  public float speed; public float distance;  private Transform Player;  void Start() {     Player = GameObject.FindGameObjectWithTag("Player").GetComponent<Transform>(); } void Update() {     if (Vector3.Distance(transform.position, Player.position) > distance)     {         speed += acceleration * Time.deltaTime;          transform.position = Vector3.MoveTowards(transform.position, Player.position, speed * Time.deltaTime);               if (speed > maxSpeed)             speed = maxSpeed;     } }

Does the item you apply the Replicate Magic item infusion change its shape to fit the magic item you chose?

Does the type of item you apply the Replicate Magic item infusion matter? I mean, if I infuse the replica of Bag of Holding in a dagger, doe the dagger turns into a Bag of Holding, or it stays like a dagger with the same effects?

The artificer’s Infuse Item feature states, under the “Infusing an Item” subheader (E:RftLW, p. 57):

Whenever you finish a long rest, you can touch a nonmagical object and imbue it with one of your artificer infusions, turning it into a magic item. An infusion works on only certain kinds of objects, as specified in the infusion’s description. If the item requires attunement, you can attune yourself to it the instant you infuse the item.

The Replicate Magic Item infusion states (E:RftLW, p. 63):

Using this infusion, you replicate a particular magic item. You can learn this infusion multiple times; each time you do so, choose a magic item that you can make with it, picking from the Replicable Items tables below. A table’s title tells you the level you must be in the class to choose an item from the table.

If yes, do the common armour variant magic items found in Xanathar’s Guide to Everything, such as Cast-Off Armor, can be created? Can I use this to get a set of Half Plate Armor from this infusion?
