Nvidia-smi shows CUDA version, but CUDA is not installed

I am on Ubuntu 18.10. When I got my GPU (RTX 2070), I did “sudo ubuntu-drivers autoinstall”. This installed the drivers. When I do “nvidia-smi” in terminal, I get this:

+-----------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | NVIDIA-SMI 415.25       Driver Version: 415.25       CUDA Version: 10.0     | |-------------------------------+----------------------+----------------------+ | GPU  Name        Persistence-M| Bus-Id        Disp.A | Volatile Uncorr. ECC | | Fan  Temp  Perf  Pwr:Usage/Cap|         Memory-Usage | GPU-Util  Compute M. | |===============================+======================+======================| |   0  GeForce RTX 2070    Off  | 00000000:01:00.0  On |                  N/A | |  0%   45C    P8     9W / 185W |    549MiB /  7949MiB |      6%      Default | +-------------------------------+----------------------+----------------------+

, claiming that CUDA is installed. But when I do “nvcc -V”, it can’t find nvcc, so I don’t think I installed CUDA correctly. To be safe that I don’t run into issues later, how do I remove CUDA from nvidia-smi?

Is there supposed to be a difference between $x^{1/3}$ and $\sqrt[3]{x}$ ? (Wolfram Alpha shows different results)

Compare these two functions: plot $ \sqrt[3]{x}$ and plot $ x^{1/3}$

I understand how roots are ambiguous, and Wolfram Alpha apparently takes the principle root with the $ x^{1/3}$ case and the real root with $ \sqrt[3]{x}$ .

Is there any reason why the different approach? In the “input interpretation” it displays both as $ \sqrt[3]{x}$ and aren’t they in fact supposed to mean the same? Isn’t $ \sqrt[x]{y}$ defined as $ y^{1/x}$ ?

php-fpm status shows listen queue 0 when it is delaying requests

I have a php-fpm server running on a high-traffic website. It is frequently reaching a point where the active processes are equal to the maximum number of processes, which is the most that the server’s memory will allow.

When this happens it can take 5 – 10 seconds to load the php-fpm status page. It appears that the request is being queued. However the listen queue value always shows 0.

Why wouldn’t this report the correct value?

How can i modfy or choose what my Magento datalayer shows?

I’m in an ecommerce project with a store that is using Magento. I configured in the CMS the Google Tag Manager connection writing the container code and activating the option Data Layer as the image shows:

enter image description here

However when i debug, the data layer only shows me these fields:

enter image description here

I need the ‘brand’ field, so i have to ‘choose’ or ‘manage’ wich fields to show on the data layer. For the moment i only have access to the CMS. I don’t have the magento source code.

TimeMachine’s `tmutil compare` shows lots of files as changed even though there’s been no updates

For example, if I run tmutil compare I see lots of entry like:

+ 42B /Applications/ + 291B /Applications/ + 42B /Applications/ + 193B /Applications/

Finder says was last updated two weeks ago. I have TimeMachine backing up to two drives connected to a Mac Mini, and I connect from my MBP over the house Wifi. Both volumes had a successful backup complete today.

If I force a new backup, it’s reporting 1.4GB has changed despite doing a full back up just a few hours ago, and me only browsing with Chrome and Safari since then.

Why is tmutil listing all these files as changed? and how do I fix it?

Whatsapp images shows up in file browser since today

The media folder is hidden in the gallery since I created a .nomedia file. Since today the whatsapp filebrowser started browsing other chats as well and shows files from other chats to me.

How can I choose the gallery as the default location for whatsapp media I am about to send OR to hide the media from other chats from the whatsapp file browser?
