I am going to visit Chennai and looking for vacation rentals. Any inputs ?

As it happens, I am unfortunate to have a life threatening condition and have to visit Chennai every six months for treatment at Apollo Hospitals.

Last time, I stayed at Taj Coromandel, it was very good and costly :)

I am more comfortable in a homely environment and since my visits mean
extended stays in Chennai for my family, a serviced apartment or vacation rental is suitable.

Do we have a member here from Chennai who can give me some tips or address of good quality vacation rental…

Then im traveling back to Mexico, finsh my vacationd and on August travel back to my university in Boston. Thanks a lot.

Exim 4.92 – vacation autoreply doesn’t trigger

I’m trying to replicate example 2 from here, but for some reason the rule doesn’t get triggered, and I suspect it even goes as far as dropping emails entirely when router is pushed first in queue. My current config is:

So what do I do in order to make this shitshow work? I’m placing the file in /opt/mail/tld/user@tld/.vacation.msg (owned by exim:exim), and the /etc/exim/autorep.noanswer is owned by exim:exim all the same. But whenever I try to enable new ruleset, I’m getting non-descriptive “R=uservacation defer (-1): Temporary internal error” with no exception in panic.log! No extra information to go on, and no autoreply on my test mailbox.

Applying for ESTA, or any travel document (vacation) as an ex US Permanent Resident Card holder

When I was little I lived in the US with my family. In October 2007 I received a permanent resident card, however in 2008 I moved to Finland with my family.

From what I understood my family should’ve visited the USA within one year in order to not lose the permanent resident card, however we have lived in Finland for about 11 years now. I was planning on visiting the US this June for vacation and I was confused on the state of my permanent resident card which expired in 2017 and my overall permanent resident status. I wasn’t even aware that I had a permanent resident card until last week when I was trying to fill in the ESTA application and I asked my dad just to be sure if I had any “national identity card issued by any other country”.

A CBP ESTA Officer then informed me that I am ineligible to travel on the Visa Waiver Program/ESTA if I am a Lawful Permanent Resident and I should contact my nearest US embassy or consulate to obtain appropriate travel documentation. First I tried contacting the US embassy in Finland via email and they told me I should contact the US consulate. I tried asking questions from the US consulate on the matter and they didn’t really answer any of my questions specifically. They just said to return the card to their offices and to fill in the I-407 form so I won’t have any problems with traveling to the USA. To me that sounds like I would still have some permanent residence status if the consulate wants me to fill in a “Record of Abandonment of Lawful Permanent Resident Status”.

So I was wondering if there are any other options for me to travel to the states other than by getting rid of my permanent resident status, if I do still have that, which I am still unsure of? I might want to move back to the US after my studies in Finland so that’s why I wouldn’t like to abandon it completely. My flight to the US is scheduled in the beginning of June (~4 weeks), and right now I’m scared it’s too late to get a travel document.

So, is there any way to still make it, and is my only option here to abandon my old permanent resident status?

H2B visa denied in 2011, but wanting to go on vacation in the USA this summer

I was denied an H2B visa to the United States in late 2011. I tried to get an ESTA not long after but was rejected.

It was denied as at the time I had little residency in the UK. Now circumstances have changed, and I am looking to travel over with my own family for a holiday.

I don’t want to apply for an ESTA until I’m confident I will be able to travel to the USA. I’ve tried contacting the embassy but had no reply.

I have a question about all inclusive vacation bundles, rarer scenario, question about base price

Ok, i’m sure its been asked before, but in the scenario where a person is seeing someone from another country, and wants to book a little all inclusive resort time together in her own country, how would that work, I don’t want to put down two adults obviously because i dont need two plane tickets, but i don’t want to get to a resort and have them be like yo you only had 1 adult written down. Do most places charge you for two guests automatically? If so, then my answer is easy, i’d simply find a great deal on my end, put down one adult, meet her at the airport or wherever then check in together, if not its no big deal either, just confused on this topic. thank you, safe travels, – Brian

Re-entry to Germany after vacation using blue card

I am working in Germany and I hold a German blue card with a work permit. Now I am planning to travel to my home country for a short vacation (15-20 days). Should I clear/submit any other documents when I come back to Germany?

I am travelling back to my home country for the first time after obtaining blue card. That’s why I have this doubt.
